How do you build a business, or recover from a stroke?
Five minutes at a time. Whether you are flat on your back wondering if you will ever walk again or starting a business wondering if you can ever make it go, the number of tasks and intensity of emotion is overwhelming. There isn't enough time in the day and you lay your head down at night fretting that you didn't do 'enough'. This site is one guy's endeavor to smooth the path for others who might be trying the same. If you take nothing else away from it, remember this:
Just make it through the next 5 minutes.
They will sometimes be terrifying, nauseating, seemingly interminable, and adrenaline-soaked, (not the good kind like bungee-jumping; the bad kind like the plane suddenly drops a few thousand feet and even the battle-hardened flight attendants look scared), but at the end of 5 minutes, you'll have a few things you didn't have before. a bizarre sense of 'that wasn't so bad.' a shade more confidence (but probably not as much as you deserve) an emotional win (We just met, but trust me. You'll need every damn one you can get!).
This is should be a prospective customer's number one call to action, e.g., requesting a quote or perusing your product catalog.
